Our Story

worship-at-oasisThe following is a summary of how God has shaped Oasis Church up to this point in our incredible journey of following him and his vision for our church family. The story continues to be written and each week we continue to be amazed with the lives that are being changed by the transforming work of Jesus through his church.

Fall of 2002- Founding Pastor Todd West and launch team all moved to Central Arkansas and began meeting in the pastor's home for Bible study. The launch team consisted of 14 people (kids included) from Arkansas and Missouri.

January 2003- Oasis held the first worship service with 28 in attendance in a 3000 square foot, warehouse building off of Counts Massie Road in Maumelle. The church grew to an average attendance of 60 in this location.

Summer of 2004- Oasis had the first service in a newly constructed, 8000 square foot, multi-purpose building on I-40 at the Morgan/Maumelle exit. We made the news for building next to a strip club.

Fall of 2008- Oasis has reached capacity at location Morgan/Maumelle location. There was hardly room to seat everyone on Sunday, the children's and student ministries were both overflowing and the staff were giving up their office space to make more room for people. The church was asking God to provide a place to accommodate the growth and to expand our potential to reach more people for Christ.

December 2009- God answered the prayers of the Church, when a Christian businessman from South Arkansas and his wife paid off our building debt, and provided the funds to purchase the former Windsong Performing Arts building located at the I-40/I-430 interchange in North Little Rock. The Building is 38,000 square feet with nearly 13 acres of beautiful property. The funds provided to purchase the campus are paid forward each month to Christian organizations determined by the generous businessman and his wife.

February 2009- Oasis moves onto the new campus and begins immediately to witness great growth numerically and lives being changed weekly. Throughout 2009, updates where made to the campus to accommodate the ministries of the church and to make room for more people. By the end of 2009, the church was settled into the new facility and making a greater impact than at any point in our brief church history.

The Present- Recently, the church set a new attendance record and consistently ministers to hundreds each week within a 50-mile radius of our campus. From Greenbrier to Redfield, Lonoke to Malvern, Cabot to Roland and all points in between God is gathering people to a church family where people are connecting to God and each other. We give God all the praise for the work he is doing in us and through us.

This is our story. Come help us write the next chapter.
